Beneficial Ownership - A (very) short film

Following up on a recent post, we wanted to provide some additional "how to" information for complying with the new Corporate Transparency Act. As a reminder - since January 1, 2024, most businesses, including local limited liability companies, corporations, and law firms, will be required to report company ownership information to the Department of the Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (“FinCEN”).  Attorneys and their clients must be mindful of these new obligations and comply or face potential civil or criminal penalties.
